Der in Spanien lebende chilenische Künstler Manuel Terán hat sein kreatives Schaffen im Bereich der plastischen Künste und der auf die Kunst angewandten neuen Technologien entwickelt. Seit er 1995 auf dem Salón de Otoño del Círculo de Bellas Artes in Santiago de Chile bekannt wurde, hat er Einzelausstellungen durchgeführt und an Gruppenausstellungen und Messen in Lateinamerika und Europa teilgenommen. Er wurde mit Preisen wie dem der Real Academia de San Carlos de Valencia (2004) ausgezeichnet.
