ROBERT LLIMÓS ORIOL (Barcelona, 1943). „Cadiram“, Esplugas, 1973. Öl auf Leinwand. Signiert in der unteren linken Ecke. Auf der Rückseite signiert, datiert, betitelt und mit Ortsangabe versehen. Maße: 130 x 162 cm; 132 x 164 cm (mit Rahmen). Llimós erlangte erstmals 1964 durch eine Gruppenausstellung Bekanntheit, an der unter anderem Arranz Bravo, Bartolozzi und Gerard Sala teilnahmen, mit denen er bis 1969 zusammenarbeitete. Seine Werke sind in bedeutenden Sammlungen vertreten, darunter im Nationalen Kunstmuseum von Katalonien, im Museum für Moderne Kunst von Espírito Santo in Brasilien, in der Sammlung für zeitgenössische Kunst in Madrid, in den Kunstmuseen von Álava und Sevilla, in der Fondazione Lucio Amelio in Neapel, im Internationalen Museum des Widerstands „Salvador Allende“ in Santiago, Chile, die Peter-Stuyvesant-Stiftung in Amsterdam, der Palau Solleric in Palma de Mallorca und das MACBA in Barcelona, um nur einige zu nennen. Sein Werk, das sich durch einen ausdrucksstarken und intensiven Pinselstrich auszeichnet, oszilliert zwischen Figuration und symbolischer Abstraktion.
