JAPAN – 16. Jahrhundert Polychrom bemalte Holzfigur, die Kichijôten (吉祥天) darstellt, sitzend in der Haltung der „königlichen Entspannung“ auf einem Holzsockel. Die Göttin trägt rote und schwarze Gewänder mit goldenen Bordüren, die mit Pflanzenmotiven und Blumenmedaillons verziert sind. Jeder Ärmel ist mit zwei goldenen Phönixen (*hô-ô* 鳳凰) geschmückt, die von weiteren Blumenmedaillons flankiert werden. Ihr Kopf wird von einem kreisförmigen Heiligenschein mit gezacktem Rand gekrönt. Maße: Statuette: Höhe 46,7 cm, Breite 31,8 cm, Tiefe 21 cm. Mit Sockel: Höhe 76,7 cm, Breite 45 cm, Tiefe 29,5 cm. (Abnutzungsspuren, Fehlstellen, Restaurierungen...)
