Loniaké-Maske mit Vogel am Scheitel, Toussian, Burkina Faso. Seltene, große, geschnitzte Holzmaske mit weißer Kaolin-Patina, verziert mit einem geometrischen V-Motiv und dunklen Reliefscheiben, in die rote Samen eingelegt sind. Der untere Teil weist einen kleinen runden Spiegel auf, der in ein ringförmiges Ornament eingelassen ist. An der Spitze befindet sich ein stilisierter Vogel mit langem, gebogenem Schnabel, der abnehmbar ist und durch Pflanzenbinden gehalten wird. Umfangreiche Faserverzierung an den Seiten. Abnutzungsspuren und alte ethnografische Etiketten auf der Rückseite (Sammlung J. Lecluse, Lüttich). Inklusive Sockel Höhe: 72,5 cm
