Set aus drei Bindi-Dosen Holz, antike Patina, Gebrauchsspuren, Reste von rotem Puder im Inneren der Behälter. Nepal 5,8 cm; 12 cm; 21,6 cm Herkunft: ehemalige Sammlung Éric Chazot, Paris. Diese drei Dosen mit abnehmbaren Deckeln weisen unterschiedliche Formen auf: Eine erinnert an ein gebogenes Blatt mit eingravierten Adern, eine andere zeigt geschwungene Konturen um mehrere Fächer herum, während die dritte, quadratische Dose einen abgestuften Deckel besitzt, der mit geometrischen Motiven verziert ist. Sie dienten zur Aufbewahrung von Farbpulvern, die insbesondere zum Auftragen des Bindi verwendet wurden, einem Mal auf der Stirn zwischen den Augenbrauen. Dieser Punkt, der traditionell rot ist, wird mit Glück und Lebenskraft in Verbindung gebracht.
