[NAPOLEON] Handschriftlicher Dienstbrief, signiert „Napoléon“, adressiert an Herrn Cretet (Innenminister) Datiert vom 26. Mai 1808 in Bayonne. 1,5 Seiten. Hervorragender Zustand. „Herr Crétet, hier ist ein Vorschlag, der mir seltsam erscheint. Ich bitte Sie, mir einen Bericht über die zu ergreifenden Maßnahmen vorzulegen, um sicherzustellen, dass diese mit Kolonialwaren beladenen algerischen Schiffe tatsächlich aus Amerika kommen (…) Ich habe keine Einwände, dem Antrag unter den folgenden Bedingungen stattzugeben: 1. dass diese Schiffe auf See den Engländern nichts zu zahlen haben, 2. dass diese Schiffe problemlos mit Bescheinigungen der Kapitäne [Wort teilweise abgenutzt], Generäle, Kolonialpräfekten und der Zollbehörden von Martinique und Guadeloupe ankommen, sondern zudem mindestens vier Passagiere aus diesen Kolonien an Bord haben, seien es Soldaten oder zurückkehrende Kreolen. 3. Dass diese Schiffe weder in England noch in Gibraltar aufgehalten worden sind (…)“.
