Herez Persien, 20. Jahrhundert. Wolle auf Wolle, Pflanzenfarben, ca. 196 cm x 138 cm. Das ziegelrotfarbene Mittelfeld wird von einem großen, geometrisch gegliederten Zentralmedaillon in Dunkelblau, Himmelblau, Ocker und Elfenbein beherrscht. Die charakteristische, kantige Formensprache mit stilisierten Blüten, Rosetten und Hakenmotiven entspricht der gebietstypischen Ornamentik der Herez-Teppiche. Die elfenbeinfarbenen Eckzonen setzen einen wirkungsvollen Kontrast zum roten Fond. Die breite, dunkelblaue Hauptbordüre ist mit regelmäßig angeordneten mehrfarbigen Blütenrosetten und stilisierten Blattranken gestaltet. Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren, stellenweise abgetretener Flor.
