Spiegel im Stil Ludwigs XVI. Frankreich, zweite Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts. Geschnitztes und vergoldetes Holz. Maße: 83 x 55 cm (Spiegelfläche); 126 x 84 cm (Rahmen). Ein Spiegel im Louis-XVI-Stil, dessen Design die Schlichtheit eines rechteckigen Rahmens mit aufwendigen neoklassizistischen Verzierungen verbindet. Der Rahmen ist mit Perlenleisten und floralen Bordüren verziert, ergänzt durch Rosetten und geschnitzte Zweige an den Ecken. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die durchbrochene Krone, die von einer Urne dominiert wird, die von Blattwerk und Bändern flankiert wird; dies unterstreicht das Gesamtdesign und bewahrt gleichzeitig die symmetrische Ausgewogenheit. Er wurde in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts in Frankreich gefertigt und ist ein Beispiel für den historistischen Geschmack, der die Eleganz der Designs des 18. Jahrhunderts für die bürgerlichen Innenräume jener Zeit wiederbelebte.
