Topor, Roland "UBU, Robe de chambre" Feder in Schwarz, aquarelliert, auf Velin. Um 1991. 26 x 17,4 cm. Unten links mit Feder in Schwarz signiert "Topor" und mittig rechts teils mit Bleistift betitelt. Die groteske Figur des Königs Ubu zeichnet der französische Künstler mit massigem Körper und Birnenkopf, die Binnenstrukturen mit einer Vielzahl vibrierender Schraffuren gestaltet (vgl. den ähnlichen Entwurf in: La vocation théatrale de Roland Topor, München 1994, Abb. S. 46). Topor lieferte ein ganzes Ausstattungsuniversum in Form zahlreicher Dekorations-, Bühnenbild- und Kostümentwürfe für die Opera buffa "Ubu Rex" mit Musik von Krzysztof Penderecki und einem Libretto von Jerzy Jarocki, nach Alfred Jarrys Stück "Ubu Roi" (1896), uraufgeführt an der Münchner Oper am 06.07.1991.
