The ground is covered with lush bushes and shrubs in dark green, from which a few tree trunks grow upwards. The artwork shows a forest scene with several slender tree trunks rising up in a dense, green undergrowth. The trees are painted in natural brown tones, while the foliage shimmers in various shades of green. The composition is vertically aligned, which emphasises the majestic height of the trees. Smaller plants and grasses can be seen in the foreground, detailed with fine lines. The lighting is soft and the interplay of light and shadow creates a harmonious atmosphere. The background remains indistinct, which lends the work a certain depth. The painting technique combines watercolour with fine ink lines, which lend the scene a lively structure.
