GEDON (20th), The Allotrians’ Fraternity Mug, around 1914, Pen drawing Rudolf Gedon (20th century): Verbindungskrug der Allotrianer, Munich Artists' Association, c. 1914, Pen drawing Technique: Washed Pen drawing on Paper, mounted on Cardboard Inscription: Lower right signed: "Hier grüßt dich ein alter ehrwürdiger Allotrianer - durch deinen Freund Rudolf Gedon". Date: c. 1914 Description: Depiction of a tall decorated pewter jug with laurel wreath. On the side of the jug are engraved some names of well-known members of the Munich artists' association Allotria. At the foot is the inscription "And repeatedly drank Prince Bismar[ck] in the midst of the Allotria[ner] on 25 June 1892". Provenance: Ehrengabe für Jakob Bradl (1864 München - 1919 Oberammergau?) von der Künstlergesellschaft Allotria München im Jahre 1914 anlässlich des Wegzuges Bradls nach Oberammergau. The paper is minimally discoloured and soiled in places. The corners of the sheet are slightly wavy. There is a short marginal tear in the centre right. The image makes a very good impression.
