Strässer, Herbert Große Stehende Neusilber, hochglanzpoliert, auf Neusilberplinthe. 1957. 36,5 x 11 x 9 cm. Hinten unten monogrammiert "H. ST." und datiert. In seiner ungewöhnlichen Skulptur erfasst der Künstler in schwunghafter Formgebung die stehende, langgestreckte Frauenfigur. Die polierte Oberfläche mit ihren ausgewogenen Proportionen reflektiert das einfallende Licht in verschiedenster Weise. Die Stilisierung und die Aufsplitterung der menschlichen Figur in geometrische Elemente verleiht der Skulptur eine konzentrierte, überzeugende Allansichtigkeit. Bereits im Jahr 1955 schuf Strässer mit der "Kleinen Stehenden" eine in den Maßen zwar abweichende und in der Formgebung etwas weichere, sonst aber nahezu identische Bronze. Prachtvoller Guss aus Strässers kubistischem Frühwerk mit spiegelnd glänzender, polierter Oberfläche.
