Dreber, Heinrich Blick auf Civitella. Bleistift, verso: Figurenstudien in Bleistift. 19,1 x 26 cm. Unten rechts signiert und datiert "1847 / Dreber". Dreber lebte seit 1843 dauerhaft in Rom, befand sich jedoch stets in finanzieller Bedrängnis, bis ihm in den Jahren 1847/48 ein Stipendium des sächsischen Staates etwas mehr Freiraum verschaffte. Die vorliegende Zeichnung entstand auf einer in der Folge angetretenen Studienreise und zeigt anschaulich das zeichnerische Vorgehen Drebers: nachdem der Künstler sich im linken unteren Viertel des Blattes erst einmal auf das Wesentliche konzentrierte und lediglich die Bergkontur exakt aufnimmt, widmet er sich in einem zweiten Schritt in einer größer angelegten und detailiert ausgeführten Zeichnung kompositorischen Feinheiten, sowie ausdifferenzierten Licht- und Schattenwirkungen.
