Coblitz, Louis Sitzender Knabe mit Vogelkäfig. Bleistift auf Bütten. 21,1 x 17,3 cm. Unten rechts eigenhändig bezeichnet und datiert "Fügen. Aug. 1853.". Die Zeichnung entstand im Jahr der Übersiedelung von Louis Coblitz nach München, wo er sein bislang autodidaktisches Studium an der Münchner Akademie vertiefen wollte. Im August dieses Jahres führte ihn eine Studienreise nach Tirol. Unterwegs nahm er Quartier im Dorf Fügen im Zillertal und zeichnete ausgiebig die Bauern und ihren Alltag.
