Chodowiecki, Daniel Nikolaus Ein Mädchen sitzt an einem Tisch und betrachtet ein großes Buch, ein kleiner Junge zeichnet. Rötel im Abklatsch, auf Bütten. 21 x 18,3 cm. Verso wohl von fremder Hand bezeichnet "Chodowiecki". Um 1771. Die Zeichnung dürfte als vorbereitende Studie zu der Radierung Cabinet d'un peintre vom Jahre 1771 entstanden sein (Engelmann 75, vgl. Los 6503). Das Mädchen, bei dem es sich wahrscheinlich um die Tochter Jeanette oder Susanna handelt, sitzt auf dem gleichen Stuhl auf dem in der Radierung ihr jüngerer Bruder Henri Platz gefunden hat. Bei dem Vorgang des Umdrucks wurde das angefeuchtete Papier mit einem Zeitungsbogen der "Berlinischen Nachrichten" hinterlegt, dessen leichter Abklatsch sich nun auf der Rückseite markiert.
