Arsenal | Kiev-Contax 1947 Estimate: € 4,000–5,000 Year: 1947 SN: 47210 Condition: B English: First-year production Kiev II, manufactured in 1947, representing the very beginning of Soviet Contax-type camera production following the transfer of German Zeiss Ikon technology and manufacturing equipment to the Soviet Union after the Second World War. Fitted with the period-correct ZK (Sonnar-type) 2/5 cm lens, no. 000258, engraved '19–47' (with cap). A closely related Kiev II, no. 47275, is documented with ZK lens no. 000255, only three numbers apart from the present lens. Preserved in attractive original condition, with working shutter. Deutsch: Kiev II aus dem ersten Produktionsjahr 1947, die den Beginn der sowjetischen Contax-Kamerafertigung nach der Überführung deutscher Zeiss-Ikon-Technologie und Produktionsanlagen in die Sowjetunion nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg dokumentiert. Mit passendem ZK-Objektiv (Sonnar-Typ) 2/5cm Nr.000258, graviert „19–47“ (mit Deckel). Eine nah verwandte Kiev II Nr.47275 ist mit ZK Nr.000255 dokumentiert, also nur drei Nummern entfernt.
