EIN CHINESISCHER, WEISSGLAZIERTER ALTARSTÄNDER ODER RÄUCHERHALTER, SONG-DYNASTIE (960–1279) Das Gefäß hat eine komprimierte Balusterform und steht auf einem ausladenden runden Fuß; es wird von einer breiten, schalenförmigen Öffnung mit einem breiten, nach außen gebogenen Rand gekrönt. Der Rand ist mit stilisierten Lotusblütenblättern im Flachrelief verziert, während der Hals unterhalb der Schale mit einem Band aus kleinen, maskenförmigen Ornamenten versehen ist. Das Gefäß ist vollständig mit einer cremeweißen Glasur überzogen, die eine sanft schimmernde Oberfläche aufweist; der Fußrand ist unglasiert und gibt den Blick auf den hellbraunen Keramikkörper frei. Durchmesser: 10 cm. Höhe: 7 cm.
