Kaisermann, Franz Blick vom Monte Mario auf Rom und St. Peter. Kolorierte Umrissradierung auf festem Bütten. 28,7 x 41,8 cm. Im Jahre 1789 kommt Franz Kaisermann nach Rom, wo er die von Ducros' entwickelte Technik der aquarellierten Umrissradierung kennenlernt. Diese erlaubte es, beliebte Motive römischer Monumente für die "Grand Tourists" vielfach zu publizieren. Die aquarellierte Zeichnung verlieh den Arbeiten jedoch gleichzeitig den Charakter eines Unikats. Ganz ausgezeichneter Druck mit braun grundierten Rändern und schwarzer Einfassungslinie. Vor allem im Himmel mit winzigen, schwarzen Pünktchen, der linke Rand auf 0,8 cm leicht gedunkelt, im Baum und Gebüsch rechts mit Spuren von Gummiarabikum, sonst in schöner, sehr farbfrischer Erhaltung.
