Arthur-Marie-Gabriel Comte du Passage (1838–1909) Jagdstute, von einem Pferdepfleger gesattelt Bronze mit rotbrauner Patina Signiert „Cte du Passage“ auf der Sockelplattform H. 34 cm, Sockel B. 71,7 x T. 30,8 cm Restaurierung der Patina am unteren Teil des Sockels Arthur du Passage war ein ungewöhnlicher Bildhauer. Als Berufsoffizier der Kavallerie besuchte er Bildhauerkurse in den Ateliers von Barye und Mêne. Ein Sturz vom Pferd beendete seine militärische Laufbahn. Fortan widmete er sich ganz der Bildhauerei und stellte ab 1865 zahlreiche Werke im Salon aus.
