Yokoi Teruko 1924 Tsushima - 2020 Bern Ohne Titel. 1982 Eitempera auf Papier Unten links signiert und datiert: 82 Gerahmt 47.5 × 65 cm (Blattgrösse) Teruko Yokoi erhielt ihre erste künstlerische Ausbildung in Japan und setzte ihre Studien in den 1950er Jahren in den USA fort, wo sie unter anderem Hans Hofmann in New York begegnete. Nach ihrer Übersiedlung nach Bern im Jahr 1962 widmete sie sich weiterhin sowohl der Malerei als auch der Arbeit auf Papier. Dabei verwendete sie verschiedene Techniken wie Aquarell, Gouache und Eitempera. Ihre häufig von Naturmotiven und den Jahreszeiten angeregten Werke zeichnen sich durch eine freie, teils abstrakte Formensprache und eine differenzierte Farbigkeit aus.
