Graubner Gotthard 1930 Erlbach/Sachsen - 2013 Düsseldorf Ohne Titel. 1964 Aquarell Unten Mitte signiert und datiert: Gotthard Graubner 1964 Gerahmt 18 × 12 cm (Blattgrösse) Mit seinen Untersuchungen zur räumlichen Wirkung von Farbe entwickelte Gotthard Graubner eine eigenständige Position innerhalb der abstrakten Malerei der Nachkriegszeit. Nach seinem Studium in Berlin und Düsseldorf entstanden seit den 1960er Jahren seine charakteristischen Farbraumkörper, bei denen Farbe eine nahezu körperliche Präsenz erhält. Auch in seinen Arbeiten auf Papier erforschte er das Zusammenspiel von Farbschichten, Transparenz und Licht. Die vorliegende Arbeit von 1969 zeigt übereinander angeordnete, weich begrenzte Farbfelder, deren zarte Gelb- und Rosatöne ineinander übergehen und eine schwebende, räumliche Wirkung entfalten.
