In-8, (2) Blätter, 165 Seiten, einige Stellen stockfahl, Halbleinen nach Bradel, Einband restauriert. Erstausgabe der Komödie, die auf dem 1861 erschienenen Roman basiert. Bei der Aufführung im Théâtre de l’Odéon wohnten der Kaiser und die Kaiserin der Premiere bei, ebenso wie Flaubert, der wie eine Frau weinte. Nach Spoelberch de Lovenjoul (S. 48, Nr. 283) gilt Alexandre Dumas fils als Mitautor dieses Stücks, insbesondere für die Rolle des Herzogs von Aléria.
