Undatiert; 4 Seiten in-4° Georges Sand ist besorgt über das Verschwinden ihrer Tochter mit Herrn Dudevant. „Seien Sie so freundlich, sofort nach Nérac zu schreiben und mir mitzuteilen, wo sich meine Tochter befindet. Während ich nach Paris kam [...], war Herr Dudevant in Berry, wo sich das Kind bei mir zusammen mit der Gouvernante aufhielt, und hat es gewaltsam entführt. Er hat sie nach Guillery mitgenommen, dessen Eigentümer er nun durch den Tod von Frau Dudevant, seiner Schwiegermutter, geworden ist. Ich werde meiner Tochter nachlaufen und sie mir zurückholen. [...] Sie haben mir gesagt, dass sich einige Ihrer Bekannten für mich interessieren. Über sie könnten Sie in Erfahrung bringen, ob es meiner Tochter gut geht, ob man sie nicht misshandelt, ob man sie nicht versteckt.
