Eine antike, polychrom und vergoldete, geschnitzte Holzfigur eines Kindes. Die sitzende Figur ist nackt dargestellt, mit fein geschnitztem, lockigem Haar, an dem noch Spuren der Vergoldung zu erkennen sind. Beide Hände sind unvollständig. Kontinental, 17./18. Jahrhundert. Zustand: altersbedingte Abnutzung, Fehlstellen und Risse in der Polychromie und im Gips, Fehlstellen an den Händen sowie Spuren einer früheren Befestigung. Zustandsbericht auf Anfrage erhältlich. Provenienz: Ehemalige Sammlung von Professor Jan Karel Steppe (1918–2009): belgischer Kunsthistoriker und Sammler, Gent. H: 48 cm
