CHARLES VITAL-CORNU (Paris, 1851-1927). "Weibliche Büste. Marmor. Signiert auf dem Sockel. Größe: 60 x 53 x 32 cm. Der französische Bildhauer Charles Vital Cornu entwickelte ein Werk, das dem Neoklassizismus zugerechnet wird. Er studierte bei Pils und Jouffroy. Ab 1885 war er Mitglied der Gesellschaft der französischen Künstler. Er erhielt zahlreiche Auszeichnungen: Ehrenvolle Erwähnung 1880 und 1881. Medaille dritter Klasse im Jahr 1882, Reisestipendium im Jahr 1883 und Medaille zweiter Klasse im Jahr 1886. Bronzemedaille auf der Weltausstellung von 1889. Ritter der Ehrenlegion 1896 und Silbermedaille auf der Weltausstellung von 1900.
