VON SOFONISBA ANGUISSOLA (18. Jahrhundert) (Cremona, etwa 1532 – Palermo, 1625) PORTRAIT EINER ADLIGEN FRAU Öl auf Kupfer, 27,5 × 21 cm. Vergoldeter Holzrahmen, 19. Jahrhundert. (Mängel und Fehlstellen) Das Gemälde orientiert sich an einem Porträtmodell von Sofonisba Anguissola und greift dessen Anordnung der Figur sowie das prächtige Hofgewand auf, das mit Schmuck, Perlen und Stickereien verziert ist. Die Dargestellte, die nach den Regeln der aristokratischen Porträtmalerei des 16. und 17. Jahrhunderts dargestellt ist, befindet sich in einem Interieur, das durch üppige rote Vorhänge geprägt ist. Die vorliegende Version, die im 18. Jahrhundert auf Kupfer ausgeführt wurde, zeugt von der Beliebtheit bei Sammlern und der Verbreitung der Vorlagen der berühmten Malerin aus Cremona in den folgenden Jahrhunderten. ZUSTANDSBERICHT Kleine malerische Ergänzungen am Gewand und am Hintergrund. Spuren einer alten, unter Wood-Licht oxidierten Decklackschicht.
