Anonymer italienischer Grafiker – Bradamante, zweite Hälfte des 16. Jahrhunderts Beschreibung: Büste von Bradamante, der gepanzerten Heldin aus Ludovico Ariostos „Orlando Furioso“, im Profil dargestellt mit einem aufwendig verzierten Helm mit hoher Federhaube. Ihr Name und acht Zeilen italienischer Verse erscheinen oben rechts. Aus einer Serie von mindestens zwölf Büsten, die Figuren aus dem Gedicht darstellen. Maße: 19,80 x 13,70 cm Zustand: Hervorragender Abdruck auf Büttenpapier aus der Entstehungszeit, mit vollständigem Plattenrand, oben schmal. Auf der Rückseite einige italienische Wörter in alter Handschrift mit brauner Tinte, kleines Wurmloch nahe der oberen rechten Ecke. Insgesamt in gutem Zustand. Literatur: Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, Inv.
