Beschreibung: Porträt des Kaisers des Heiligen Römischen Reiches, Rudolf II., großer Stich von Aegidius Sadeler II. (1570–1629) aus dem Jahr 1603, als er 1597 am Hofe Rudolfs II. in Prag war. Nach einem Gemälde oder einer Zeichnung von Hans von Aachen (1552–1615). Dieser war ab 1592 Hofmaler bei Rudolf II. und zog 1596 nach Prag. Literaturhinweise: Hollstein Dutch (Sadeler) 323, einziger Zustand; New Hollstein German (Hans von Aachen) 93, einziger Zustand. Kupferstich in ausgezeichnetem Zustand. Gute, kräftige Drucke mit vielen Details, gedruckt auf dünnem Büttenpapier mit 1–2 mm breiten Rändern. Drei kleine Restaurierungen, darunter ein Riss im oberen Bereich; zwei mittlere Falze restauriert, von vorne nicht sichtbar. Mit gutem Wasserzeichen. Maße: 34,3 cm x 25,7 cm Zustand: Kupferstich in ausgezeichnetem Zustand. Gute, dunkle Drucke mit vielen Details, gedruckt auf dünnem Büttenpapier mit 1–2 mm Rand. Drei restaurierte Risse im oberen Bereich, zwei mittlere Falten restauriert, von vorne nicht sichtbar. Mit gutem Wasserzeichen. Literatur: Hollstein Dutch (Sadeler) 323, einziger Zustand; New Hollstein German (Hans von Aachen) 93, einziger Zustand Medium: Kupferstich Entstehungsjahr: 1603
