Philips Sadeler, Gilles Coignet – Goldenes Zeitalter – 1573 Beschreibung: Runde Stiche aus der Serie „Die vier Zeitalter der Welt“ nach GILLES COIGNET, datiert 1573 und unten in der Mitte mit „I“ nummeriert Maße: 24,50 cm Durchmesser Zustand: Guter Druck auf gotischem P-Wasserzeichenpapier. Am Plattenrand beschnitten, außerhalb der zweiten Bildumrandung. Rechts in der Mitte ein kleiner vertikaler Schnitt und ein kleiner Defekt bei 2 Uhr, beides mit einem Papierstreifen restauriert. Reste alter Scharniere auf der Rückseite. Kleiner Sammlerstempel auf der Rückseite und eine schöne Inschrift in Sepia-Tinte, die sich auf Aegidius Guiniet und Philips Galle bezieht. Literatur: New Hollstein 378 . Gillis Coignet (Maler/Zeichner; flämisch; 1542–1599) Flämischer Maler: Antwerpen, Italien, Amsterdam, Hamburg. Berühmt für seine weiblichen Akte.
