Ingvar Bergström bezeichnete unser Gemälde in seinem Gutachten als sehr frühes Werk des flämischen Stilllebenmalers Frans Ykens, das noch den Einfluss seines Lehrers Osias Beert d. Ä. zeige. Zuvor war das Bild diesem selbst zugeschrieben.
