Provenienz Seit mehreren Generationen in Privatbesitz, Paris. - Privatbesitz, Belgien. Als Motivvorlagen dienten Eversen die Kirchen, Patrizier- und Rathäuser wie auch Bürgerbauten, die er auf seinen Wanderungen sah. Motivisch bezog er das Alltagsgeschehen der in diesen Städten lebenden Bürger mit ein und gibt so Zeugnis von deren Sitten und Gebräuchen. Seine teilweise authentisch wiedergegebenen Stadtveduten sind Werke, die aus heutiger Sicht auch ein Zeitdokument zur Rückbesinnung des Stadtbildes in der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts darstellen.
