Jahrhundert zeigt den deutschen Philosophen und politischen Ökonomen Louis de Beausobre (Ludwig von Beausobre, 1730–1783). Die Originalzeichnung stammt von Daniel Nikolaus Chodowiecki, der Kupferstich von Daniel Berger. Beausobre, der aus einer französischen Hugenottenfamilie stammte und in Berlin geboren wurde, war ein Intellektueller und Schriftsteller, der als Mitglied der Preußischen Akademie der Wissenschaften tätig war.
