Vorderseite: „ARTIBUS ET LIBERTATE FLORET PATRIA / NOVEMBER / 1873 / FREIHEIT / GLEICHHEIT / BRÜDERLICHKEIT“. Kopf der Republik nach links, gekrönt von einem Pflanzenkranz und einem Band mit dem republikanischen Motto, darüber ein geflügelter Geist, der eine Fackel hält. Signiert: ROTY. Rückseite: „COQUIT CIBARIA NUTRIT AMICITIAS / EUGÈNE OUDAILLE“. Dampfender dreifüßiger Kessel, auf dem ein Lorbeerzweig und eine Schöpfkelle ruhen, vor strahlenförmigem Hintergrund; darüber eine Kartusche mit dem eingravierten Namen des Empfängers.
