Signiert. Aquarell und Tusche auf Papier 37 × 26,4 cm (14,57 × 10,39 in.) Wie könnte man kein Auto zeichnen, wenn man einen Auftrag einer Buchhandlung aus Le Mans erfüllt? Olivier Schwartz entschied sich daher für eine modernisierte Version der „Turbotraction“. Wieder einmal verleihen die Bewegung des von rechts nach links fahrenden Fahrzeugs, Fantasios Sorge um die Ankunftszeit und die gelben Scheinwerfer, die die Dunkelheit der Nacht durchschneiden, dieser Illustration eine dramatische Atmosphäre. „Ich hatte zunächst einen helleren blauen Hintergrund gemalt, der mir nicht gefiel. Also habe ich ihn etwas dunkler gemacht. Und diese nächtliche Stimmung mit den blauen Farbverläufen ist dadurch viel interessanter geworden.“ O.S.
