William Harvey - Handkolorierte Lithographie von Sea-Weed 1846. Diese Lithographie stammt aus Phycologia Britannica or A History of British Sea-Weeds containing figures generic and specific characters, synonymes and descriptions von William Heny Harvey. Veröffentlicht von Reeve und Benham, London 1846-51. Die wunderschön handkolorierten lithografischen Tafeln wurden von Harvey hervorragend gezeichnet und sind für ein Werk, das über 170 Jahre alt ist, in bemerkenswertem Zustand. Die Drucke sind auch mit den entsprechenden Textseiten versehen. William Henry Harvey (1811-1866) war der Künstler und Kupferstecher von Phycologia Britannica oder A History of British Sea-Weeds, das in vier Folio-Bänden zwischen 1846 und 1851 in London veröffentlicht wurde. Es war sein Meisterwerk mit über 300 handkolorierten Tafeln, in denen er alle bekannten britischen Seegräser beschrieb.
