Dieser originale, antike, handkolorierte Holzschnitt stammt aus dem Werk „History of the Fishes of the British Islands“ von Jonathan Couch. Erschienen 1877. Dieses Werk gilt als einer der grundlegenden Beiträge zur britischen Ichthyologie. Die in diesem Los abgebildeten Fische sind: Seehecht, Schellfisch, Wittling und Torsk. Die Holzschnitte wurden von A. F. Lydon angefertigt, und Benjamin Fawcett druckte die Platten. Lokale Künstler aus Polperro in Cornwall haben die Handkolorierung vorgenommen.
