Das vom Fan-Designer Mind_the_Brick entworfene Modell „Old Train Engine Shed“ rückt diese oft übersehene Seite des Eisenbahnalltags in den Fokus – mit strukturierten Ziegelwänden, hohen Fenstern und großen Türen, die den Eingang zur Werkstatt einrahmen.Das Modell wurde im Rahmen der Serie 1 des BrickLink-Designer-Programms veröffentlicht und erreichte während des Crowdfunding-Projekts seine maximale Auflage von 30.000 Exemplaren. Seine Attraktivität beruht auf der Kombination aus dieser limitierten Auflage und einem Thema, dem in LEGO-Eisenbahnsammlungen selten so viel Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt wird.
