326 - PETRONIO (Arthur). „Compositions“ (1979). Ensemble aus 3 Gouachen und Tuschezeichnungen auf Papier, signiert in der rechten unteren Ecke. Maße (Trägermaterial und Motiv): (3 x) 30 x 25 cm. Der Schweizer Geiger und Komponist Arthur Pétronio (1897–1983), ein Freund von Kandinsky, Cocteau und Picasso sowie Mitglied der „Groupe Moderne d’Art de Liège“, wurde vom französischen Maler Henri Le Fauconnier in die Malerei eingeführt. Ab 1920 organisierte er Dada-Abende in Amsterdam. Unter dem Einfluss der italienischen Futurismus-Bewegung entwickelte er halb musikalische, halb poetische Kompositionen, die er „Verbophonie“ nannte. Als vielseitiger Künstler prägte er die literarische und musikalische Avantgarde.
