MEISSEN Title: Porcelain Plate with Chinoiseries. Date: Ca. 1725/1728. Designer: Decor Johann Gregorius Höroldt Werkstatt. Material: Porcelain, enriched in polychrome and gold. Measurement: Ø 22 cm. Mark: Swords mark painted blue under glaze. Description: Flatly moulded plate with broad ledge. On these four quatrefoil gold reserves, painted with foliage and strap decor as well as luster fields. In these delicately painted chinoserie scenes in the style of Höroldt. In between and below the serves gold ornaments with luster fields, from which colourful 'Indian flowers' spread across the centre. In the very centre a flying hummingbird.
