Jahrhundert mit Blindprägung Quartformat mit einem haselnussbraunen Kalbsleder-Einband mit reichhaltiger Trockenprägung, gekennzeichnet durch einen mit Figuren verzierten Rahmen und ein mit Eicheln und kleinen Blumenmotiven übersätes Mittelfeld, angefertigt für die Ausgabe der „Disputationes adversus Lutherana dogmata“ von Alfonso Virvesio, die 1545 in Köln von Melchior Novesianus gedruckt wurde. Das Titelblatt zeigt das farbige Motto „Festina lente“. Ein interessantes Beispiel für die Buchbindekunst der Renaissance, verziert mit einem dekorativen Apparat von raffiniertem Geschmack.
