MICHELIN – um 1930 Original lithografierte Werbe-Aufbewahrungsbox für Michelin-Straßenkarten – ORANGER Hintergrund. – 32 x 14 x 16 cm. „G.De.Andreis & Cie – Marseille“ Sehr guter Erhaltungszustand. – Chromolithografie von großer Frische mit leuchtenden und satten Farben: Der leuchtend orangefarbene Hintergrund bildet einen herrlichen Kontrast zum marineblauen Schriftzug. Winzige, sehr lokal begrenzte Gebrauchsspuren an den Rändern. Hervorragender ursprünglicher Glanz. Insgesamt sehr ansprechend präsentiert. Die Schachtel wurde zur Aufbewahrung der berühmten Straßenkarten der Marke mit dem Reifen-Logo und der Abbildung des „Bibendum“ entworfen. André Michelin und sein Bruder Édouard Michelin übernahmen 1886 das Familienunternehmen Barbier-Daubrée. Clermont-Ferrand, 28. Mai 1889: Der Firmenname der Manufaktur lautet fortan „Michelin et Cie“.
