Hanns Gasser, Marmorbüste datiert 1865, monogrammiert HG, Marmor, Brustdarstellung eines Mannes mit Schnauzbart, wohl des Komponisten Robert Volkmann (1815-1883), der sich in den 1860er Jahren wachsender internationaler Beliebtheit erfreute, auf Marmorsockel, Nase und Schulter restauriert, ein Ohr beschädigt, weitere kleinere Blessuren, H Büste 55 cm, H gesamt 70 cm. Künstlerinfo: österreichischer Bildhauer (1817 Eisentratten in Kärnten bis 1868 Budapest), Sohn eines Kunsttischlers und Holzschneiders, besuchte ab 1838 die Wiener Akademie in der Zeichenklasse von Gsellhofer, ab 1840 in München, ab 1846 wieder in Wien, schuf Auftragsarbeiten für bedeutende Adelige (beispielsweise für Metternich und den Erzherzog Stefan von Österreich) und Werke für den öffentlichen Raum, erhielt eine Professur an der Wiener Akademie.
