Sébastien LECLERC (1637–1714), nach einer Vorlage von, und Louis de CHÂTILLON (1639–1734), Kupferstecher Cambray Antiker Kupferstich, retuschiert und hinter Glas gerahmt 43,5 x 37 cm (Stich) 66 x 58 cm (mit Rahmen) B.E. Dieser Stich gehört zur Serie „Grandes Conquêtes du Roi“ (Große Eroberungen des Königs), die unter Ludwig XIV. für das Kabinett des Königs herausgegeben wurde. Es zeigt die Belagerung und Einnahme von Cambrai im Jahr 1677 während des Holländischen Krieges. Nach der Umzingelung der Stadt durch die französischen Truppen musste sich die Zitadelle, die als eine der bedeutendsten Festungen an der Nordgrenze galt, schließlich ergeben.
