A silver-mounted flintlock pistol for the Oriental market, William Andrew Beckwith in London, circa 1830 Mehrfach gestufter, oktagonaler, in rund übergehender Lauf. Glatte Seele im Kaliber 16,5 mm. Über der Kammer in Gold eingelegtes Band, davor mit „Beckwith London“ (stark verputzt) signiert. Platingefüttertes Zündloch. Steinschloss mit Hahnsicherung und rollengelagerter, regendichter Batterie. Schlossplatte fein graviert und vor dem Hahn erneut signiert. Walnuss-Vollschäftung mit halbplastischer Silbergarnitur und Daumenplatte. Kolbenkappe rechtsseitig mit englischen Silberstempeln gemarkt. Kleine Reparaturstelle am Abzugsbügel. Ladestock, wohl nicht original zugehörig, aus Horn. Länge 49 cm. Condition: II -
