A German halberd, 2nd half of the 15th century Kräftige einseitig geschliffene Stoßklinge, die Spitze leicht beschädigt. Blatt mit gerader Schneide, drei Punktdurchbrüchen und beidseitig geschlagener Schmiedemarke. An der Gegenseite leicht gekrümmter Reißhaken. Kantige, leicht geschwungene Tülle mit zwei kräftigen Schaftfedern. Originaler achtkantiger Schaft aus geschwärztem Eschenholz, unterhalb einer Schaftfeder gekerbte alte Markierung „VA“. Der untere Abschluss unvollständig, wurmstichig. Länge 179 cm. Eine frühe Couse mit ähnlicher Schmiedemarke abgebildet in: Müller/Kölling, Europäische Hieb- und Stichwaffen, S. 180, Nr. 70.
