An Italian embossed and gilt parade burgonet in Renaissance style, Milan, circa 1860 Einteilig geschlagene, eiserne Kalotte mit in einem Stück gearbeitetem Augen- und Nackenschirm. Umlaufend fein gekehlte Futternieten, die Ränder fein gebördelt und geschnürlt. Wangenklappen fehlen. Reicher, ganzflächig getriebener Dekor, der Grund mit Resten von Vergoldung. Auf der Kalotte beidseitig Darstellung von Herkules, eine Fackel haltend, im Kampf mit der Hydra von Lerna, auf der Vorderseite Herkules im Kampf mit dem nemeischen Löwen. Der hohe Kamm, Augen- und Nackenschirm mit erhabenen Portraitkartuschen zwischen Trophäendekor. Höhe 30 cm. Hochwertige Arbeit des frühen Historismus. Provenienz: Auktionshaus Fischer in Luzern, Waffenauktion August 1934, Los 24. Damals als originale Arbeit des 16. Jh. angeboten. Condition: II
