An Early Bronze Age dagger of the Italian type with a cast handle, ca. 1900–1600 B.C. Trianguläre Klinge mit breiten, glatten Fasen. Weicher Mittelgrat. Zwischen Mittelgrat und Fasen dreieckige Felder mit gegenständig schraffierten Linien. Oben halbrund abgeschlossen und vom Griff mit einer im Querschnitt ovalen Säule in einem Bogen mit sieben Nieten umfasst. Kegelstumpfförmiger Knauf. Geringfügige Scharten an den Kanten, sonst intakt. Auf der Oberfläche vor allem im Bereich der oberen Klinge Oxidauflagen und Sinter. Schönes Exemplar dieser Gruppe aufwändig gearbeiteter frühbronzezeitlicher Prunkwaffen, die als Statussymbole ihrer Besitzer anzusehen sind. Länge 23,3 cm. KULTURGUT! Provenienz: Süddeutsche Privatsammlung (übernommen aus Nachlass), vom Vater erworben in den 70er bis 90er Jahren im süddeutschen Kunsthandel. Condition: II
