PÉLADAN (Joséphin). Sémiramis. sl, sn, sd [1897]. In-4, broschiert, bedrucktes Einband (abgenutzt). Sehr seltene Erstausgabe zu einem esoterischen Thema, das dem „Sâr“ Péladan besonders am Herzen lag. Es handelt sich um die fünfte Tragödie des Théâtre de la Rose-Croix, die für Sarah Bernhardt geschrieben wurde. Dieses symbolistische Theater, das von Péladan in Fortführung der Salons de la Rose-Croix gegründet wurde, wollte dem Naturalismus eine heilige und initiatorische Dramakunst entgegenstellen, die ihre Inspiration aus Mythologien, Mystik und Esoterik schöpfte. Ein Vermerk auf der Rückseite des Titelblatts weist auf eine auf wenige Exemplare begrenzte Auflage hin, die alle signiert sind; dieses Exemplar auf Japanpapier, unbeschnitten, trägt jedoch keine Signatur. Der innere Buchrücken ist sehr leicht abgelöst, vereinzelte winzige Löcher.
