SAINTE-BEUVE (Charles Augustin), 1804–1869. L.A.S. „Ste Beuve“, ohne Datum, 7. Juli [ohne Jahresangabe], 1 Seite, in-8, Stempel der Sammlung Arm. S. de Sacy. Glückwunschbrief an Ustazade Silvestre de Sacy (1801–1879, Literaturkritiker beim „Journal des Débats“, Konservator der Bibliothèque Mazarine und Mitglied der Académie française) zu seinem im „Journal des Débats“ erschienenen Artikel: „ein Artikel, in dem alles nicht in der Analyse, sondern in der Erzählung und in der Bewegung liegt““. Er schreibt: „So getröstet durch diese gute halbe Stunde, in der ich nicht das getan habe, was Sie von mir erwartet haben – weltlich, wie Sie sind!“ Beigefügt ist ein weiterer handschriftlicher Brief desselben Verfassers, ohne Datum, 1 Seite, in-8, an einen Freund. Er gibt an, sehr müde zu sein: „die Wiederaufnahme meiner Vorlesungen fällt mir schwer“. Nachdem er seine Verfügbarkeit mitgeteilt hat, sagt er, er habe Dentu nicht gesehen, „aber man muss im Laufe der Zeit mit ihm gesprochen haben, und er zeigte keinerlei Eile, mich zu besuchen“. Er schließt mit den Worten: „Ich habe die ‚Photographie vivante‘ erhalten!“ -
