B.A., ohne Datum, 1 Seite, In-12 querformatig, auf Briefpapier der NRF. „„5) Entschuldigen Sie diesen Tunnel[?], aber ich arbeite nur zwei Stunden am Tag – und natürlich an meinen Büchern. Warum fragst du nicht Roger Caillois um dieses Vorwort? Oder Victoria Ocampo? [...]“ Handschriftliche Anmerkung mit Bleistift aus einer anderen Hand: „zwischen [?] Caillois und V. Ocampo vgl. Ple[iade?]“ Die Namen Caillois und Victoria Ocampo verweisen auf den Kreis der argentinischen Zeitschrift „Sur“, die eine wichtige Rolle bei der Verbreitung von Camus’ Werk in Lateinamerika spielte. Caillois hatte insbesondere als Vermittler zwischen Camus und Ocampo fungiert, bevor diese sich 1946 in New York trafen; Camus pflegte anschließend mit der Gründerin von „Sur“ eine treue Freundschaft und einen regen Briefwechsel.
